What We Do
Interim Management
Our approach to interim management addresses three primary goals: uninterrupted provision of municipal services; organizational stability during a time of change in executive leadership; and providing a smooth transition between the outgoing and incoming administrations. Our aim is to instill confidence on the part of elected officials, staff, and the citizenry that it is business as usual at City Hall.

Group Process Facilitation
Strategic planning, goal setting, visioning, and staff development exercises benefit from guidance by an experienced facilitator. Our approach often draws on experience in qualitative analysis to understand better what is being contributed by attendees. When appropriate, we employ tools we developed to assist participants in achieving meaningful results, including Storylines, 10 Questions for Innovators, and the I.D.E.A. (Imagine; Design; Equip; Act) framework.

Workflow Analysis
Our experience in state and local government management provides a vantage point from which to survey practices in organizations of all types. We often identify areas in which customary work process and procedures limit effectiveness and efficiency. As informed outsiders, we draw on our analysis of information offered by staff members to diagram workflows and suggest areas for improvement.
